How we helped Shuttercraft

Shuttercraft were operating successfully through agents selling similar or complementary products such as curtains and roller blinds alongside their products. However, facing stiff competition from Chinese manufacturers, Shuttercraft were seeing their sales decline and were finding it difficult to remain competitive. In order to negotiate more competitive terms from the manufacturers in China they needed, in turn, to have greater commitment from those who retailed their Shuttercraft products. 

The solution was a franchise system, which The Franchise Company developed alongside Shuttercraft. In their bespoke franchise model, Shuttercraft’s existing agents were able to sell complementary products, but only Shuttercraft plantation shutters. Using this model, Shuttercraft were able to remain competitive, expand their brand and help increase their profits over time. Today, the Shuttercraft brand is synonymous with incredible customer service, friendly expert sales advice and high-quality products.

Since switching to a franchise model, the company has conducted all their own franchise recruitment with the support of The Franchise Company, and have 23 franchise units throughout the UK.
