CareYourWay approached The Franchise Company in early 2021 for support and guidance to develop their domiciliary care business model into a franchise model that could be expanded throughout the UK.
Introduction
CareYourWay, formally trading since 2005 as The Care Company South West, approached The Franchise Company in early 2021 for support and guidance to develop their domiciliary care business model into a franchise model that could be expanded throughout the UK.
The family owned and operated business had established an excellent track record of care standards with the Care Quality Commission and was consistently rated as providing ‘exceptional’ standards of care to its customers.
How We Helped
From a consultancy perspective there was a sound commercial base and outstanding track record to work with, which is always welcome. A detailed franchise project plan was produced explaining how we would achieve the client’s objectives and long term plans to franchise, including fees, and which the client accepted.
We started with the business name change to CareYourWay and the logo design and registering the new intellectual property.
The project progressed smoothly and on time through the 3 key stages; starting with identifying the start up support package provided to all new franchisees to get their business off to the best possible start. Next we prepared the key documents and operating systems, including the franchise agreement and operating manual plus induction training and a detailed recruitment programme aimed specifically at the target profile of franchisee our client was seeking to bring onboard. Finally, stage 3, we actively supported the client with their recruitment activity to successfully onboard a couple of ‘pilot’ franchisees.
The Result
The directors at CareYourWay were great to work with and have subsequently taken control of their franchise development journey themselves and I have no doubt they will achieve their long term goals.
The company also followed our advice and have joined The British Franchise Association.
