Based in London, Chapati Man was the brainchild of Chris and Andrea Rai who had built up the business from a part-time operation in 2006. The innovative Indian wrap business was a big hit at major music festivals including Glastonbury, Bestival, Camp Bestival, Lakefest and The Handmade Fair.
Chapati Man won numerous awards as it continued its company expansion in the South East. In late 2017, Chapati Man approached The Franchise Company to help franchise its operations. We helped Chapati Man to develop a bespoke franchise model and documentation, including creating a bespoke franchise operations manual. Chapati Man’s new, bespoke franchise model was launched in the summer of 2018.
By the end of that year, Chapati Man had already sold 2 major franchise territories in London, offering their services to city workers all over central London, and agreed a Master Franchise deal in Sri Lanka. It plans to continue its expansion both in the UK and abroad with the help of The Franchise Company, and in October 2019 opened a franchise location in New York.
