Expanding your franchise network means investing a lot of time and money into the marketing and promotion of your franchise. Many franchisors often try to cut corners, by limiting the the amount of time or money they spend on expanding their franchise network. Marketing a franchise doesnt have to be expensive, but you've got to put the effort in. Here a few basic tips that are worth bearing in mind:

Make sure you exploit your existing website. All franchise businesses should have a franchise opportunities section on their website (or a seperate franchise website). It's the cornerstone of your franchise marketing, and it's a cost effective way of generating franchise enquiries

Use social media. If you're tech savvy, then you should already be exploiting your social media network. Identify which social media works for you, and then create content and promote it.

Use PR. Drafting a press release does'nt take long. Its cost effective and its easy to do, so make sure you have a regular supply of images and press releases.

Look at the online franchise directories. Franchisedirect is currently the UK's best online franchise directory, and realistically if you are serious about recruiting franchisees, then look to get a listing. It offers huge value for money.
