HOW TO SCALE A SOCIAL ENTERPRISE
If you’re interested in the social economy and how social enterprises can scale to achieve greater social impact then there’s no better example than the amazing social entrepreneur Zakia Moulaoui Guery, founder and CEO of Invisible Cities. Invisible Cities is a social enterprise that trains people who have experienced homelessness to become walking tour guides of their own cities offering alternative city tours to tourists and locals.
Invisible Cities started in Edinburgh (where they worked with the Social Enterprise Academy) and then following their success in Edinburgh Zakia has used the tools and techniques of franchising to create a social franchise model that is now being used to expand across the UK operating now in York, Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool and Cardiff (so far).
We are delighted to have Zakia as our guest on our next Franchise Company First Friday on Friday 2nd August 1pm-2pm.
