Many franchisors hit a point where growth slows, franchisees become inconsistent, and their own role feels reactive rather than strategic. Instead of a relationship that’s based on inter-dependency the balance can easily slip so that franchisees become dependent on the franchisor.

That’s not how good franchises are designed to work, and as well as being a drain on physical and emotional resources, it can create legal challenges if things go badly wrong.
